[Distractions]

Distractions can be anything, anyone even those which u least expect them to be.

As it is, it is GTA IV, the game which allows the player to do anything he wants in a city. With cheat codes I can spawn weapons from hand guns to assault rifles to rocket launchers to grenades and create havoc in the city. Even with consequences such as police alerts i can easily disarm that with yet another cheat codes. I can also spawn cars, hijack vehicles, break into vehicles and drive like a madman around the streets (which btw are realistically done with people, weather changes, sun rise sun set etc), i can even spawn an attack chopper!

I think this game is popular because it allows people to do the things they usually cannot do in real life and i guess the potential danger is this, because it is that realistic, i cld feel as if im being drawn into it, like living a 2nd life in the game. It is unlike any game i played before where i can easily discern reality and what's not but GTA IV really is different. I guess the realism created by the advanced graphics does help contribute.

Anyway, I will try to control myself in playing this time, hopefully i can complete it before my メタルギアソリッド 4 ガンズ・オブ・ザ・パトリオット arrives after 12th June.

[Will]

Church yesterday is about something which I am always having a struggle with, or rather is something which I find it hard to grasp. The speaker was great, brought so much laughter and yet much seriousness into the topic. Anyway the key things mentioned abt God's will are:

1) Providential Will
2) Moral Will
3) Personal Will

Providential Will means the things God will do no matter what, or things God has done (?)
Moral Will means obedience to God's Thy Shall and Thy Shalt not.- Something which i always have issues with.
Personal Will-Once u can do the 1st 2, naturally u will hear God's will.

The above were much like something I always wanted to do understand.. But i guess I did not have the chance. I wonder what does God mean to say to me? Aiyoh, like have alot of qns leh...zzz...

This world has many strange people. Indeed strange people with strange behaviour, including myself. Oh well...The time is coming....so many natural disasters lately...the end is indeed coming!

[church and somethings 1st time]

The last time I went to church was in...2002? It has been so long since I stepped into a church, for whatever reasons then. The journey since then has been ups and downs, I guess I must have been thoroughly worn out inside.

Several emotional setups left my spirits in a dump, probably a record low. Until recently, I thought myself as someone who cannot make the 'standards' of most sg gals. It was only after a recent event, then I realized I was kinda of wrong, it was them who cannot meet my standard which honestly is..so simple but perhaps almost impossible for most to achieve. [b] How many sg gals can see beyond the transitional facade of materialism and love a guy for whom he is, and not by how much is his salary, what car he drive, what type of housing he can provide? [/b]

....Dunno what's up with the above lines but anyway, finally went back to church. This time to COOS, Church of Our Saviour @ Queenstown area. I guess it was God's calling, somehow. I read a Daily Bread passage saying something 'God is waiting..' and I guess that was it, my call, to go back 'home'. It was not too bad. Hyms were touching and nice and there were several occasions I was literally moved to tears. After service, we went for 'fei lou ship' - fellowship which was sitting down at the nearby hawker center for some light snacks and drinks.

Then I went home with a lift from a fellow church member who is ard my age and is already a manager and has a car. Almost could not resist to think that I am only 1 yr younger and have virtually nothing to boot haha but I brushed it off, knowing that does not matter at all because God does not look at all these.

When I was on the way to church, I realized how beautiful the morning sun was, the golden bask of light that blankets the grass and all. On Sunday, I feel very different. Indescribable feeling.

And monday I am on leave! yay. Something came to me and I decided to watch Iron Man alone and I did. 1st time watching a movie alone haha. Although not as engaging as Transformers, I think it is very well done and follows the comic closely. The witty humour was good, effects are nicely done, particularly I love the transformation sequence where the parts of the armour move around.

Today is a good day, can't help wondering abt tmr.
