[RESIGNED Wakakakaka]

i have resigned! yes in the midst of financial and economic chaos all over the world, i have resigned! Yet I know I am assured by Papa God that He has a better opening for me.

Why I resign?

A malay colleague went suddenly to give birth which is about 2 weeks earlier. And most brilliant of all, there is no replacement to do her work. BTW she handles the important matter such as shipping documents, bank documents and yes! management is not hiring anyone experienced to do her work and all her work is to be done by me! =D Im ok with doing the invoicing but er, shipping documents? banking documents? insurance etc etc? Sure enough, it is a great opportunity to learn new things but...what's there to learn when there is no one to coach me but a stack of instructions?

Sure enough, I can learn from the instructions and also by harassing my colleague but is there time to do so? Im expected to deliver whatever she had been doing for the past 10+ yrs in a day! WOW!!! Im so thoroughly flattered that I am thought to have be a genius. It is not a matter of willing to learn or not but, haha i think my decision to move on is practically brainless. ANYWAY, I ( another female colleague or maybe targeted to me) was already told before 'Your work, I can always easily hire a cheap chink to do it' Oh, that surely is SO encouraging.

Well, I am doing a favour actually cos by leaving, they can hire 2 or 3 cheap chinks to do the job. As long it is cheap and can save $ (be it $50 or $100 a month), it is good enough already!

By the time I end my work (end of next month), it will be 3 years for the records. A just nice full 3 years.

I will miss my nice colleagues, the nice chicken rice, the nice beehoonkuaytiao mee (which I have been eating for the past 3 weeks), the nice fish soup and that special gal on the bus...

Working here has made me to learn abt many things :-

1) mainland chinks are extremely hard to deal with
2) as above
3) as above
4) there is no integrity/QC/morals in most of China or most of the chinks there.

5) learn much more abt forgiveness and blessing the workplace as well for the colleagues and superiors!

6) China as much as it has developed on the outside, the internal systems still belong to the i-dunno-what-to-say era. It has alot of catching up to do in terms of integrity. Big hairy deal with sending astronauts to space, the US has done it in the 60s.

[Confirmation svc]

So ytd, I went for my confirmation svc, held on the Sat service. The whole church was packed! Bishop John Tan was there as well. I think this confirmation svc is like once a year. All of the confirmed members receive a very nice gift: the keypost keychain tag

The purpose of this tag is in case of a loss of my keys, the founder can drop the keys into any postbox and the keys will be sent to my church. Upon registration online, there is personal information which can be retreived during times of emergency. Quite a nice gift!

Brother Kenneth is prob now in Nepal for a photoshoot for a week and Dan sprained his back.

[looking back]

I received his iCare card this morning. Actually, Lyn told me to go apply for it at the admin counter only to realised everything was done prior to my baptism. Papa God really does provide and plans way ahead. =D The iCare card is a card for members of COOS to tap at the church's various points to capture their attendance.

I will also be going for the confirmation next Sat @ 3.30pm which is also the Sat service. Heard from Dan the bishop will be there also! :O Lyn told me he will be dressed up in a priest's robes and wearing a high hat!
