[Getting old]

Everyone is afraid of getting old, including myself. Come to think of it, I will be turning 25 this year. I cannot imagine it was like a fart away I was 21. However when I was 21, I was trapped in a 2.5 yrs system called National Service. Being 21 I was angry abt being in stuck in NS and of course at the time being depressed. When I was 21, I rem a few years ago I was only 17. - One blur bloke who just got himself into polytechnic into a course which not many people will take.

I felt "old" suddenly when I was attending my Jpn class yesterday. My classmates were somewhat divided into 2 grps. Grp A is the more conservative type consisting of aunties or a few young adults ard my age. They are the more "typical" Singaporeans. There is another grp which I shall name Grp B. This grp consists of young teenagers poly students I think. They are more Jpn wannabes whom u can find when the Jpn fever was in SG. They remind so much of myself, except that they are far more affluent than me. There is this pair of sis and bro, they are chauffered ard in a 7 series brand new BMW. There's another guy who drives his mother red hot Mazda RX-8 to school. This guy is confident, affluent and is all can take. Really reminded me of one friend whom I get to know when I was in Singtel. Even his voice sounds almost the same. Oh yeah, he always bring his PSP to let us enjoy the clips and games.

The feeling of a age gap came suddenly. I felt detached. I AM like them, or WAS I like them? They were nuts abt Jpn stuff, they like the music, games, fashion. They are almost a perfect replica of the me in poly. Nowadays I almost halt in Jpn pop, I stopped those pop magazines, news...even dramas. I remember I was head over heels over Jpn dramas. Anyone rem Heaven's Coins - Hoshinokinka 1 and 2(星の金貨)? Beach Boys?Love Century? Under One Roof? Ienakiko (家なき子)These were and still are the cream of Jpn dramas. The main thing keeping me wif contact is comics, games and anime.

Ah anyway, I hope I wil be able to keep my job and get JLPT2 this year. With JLPT2, I hope to get a better job wif better pay and in the following year, JLPT 1 and even a better paying job. haha.

Oh yah, I saw Tanya Chua at HMV today!! She was doing a autograph session and I was suprised to see so LITTLE people. There was not even a crowd and I muster up so closely to the stage as if I was a reporter. LingZhi was hosting this session and she kept prompting people to buy buy buy her album. The songs are nice tho, esp the duet wif Stephanie Sun. Tanya and Lingzhi looked prettier in person.

That time Stephanie Sun came to Sun Plaza for autograph session, Sun Plaza was so packed I cld only catch a thumbprint of her petite stature. How come Tanya one so few pple????

[Constantine]

This movie is not boring but is quite confusing over the Biblical aspects of it. Some Biblical aspects of it seem almost "comical" (its a comic anyway) here's some of the pros and cons

Pros:
The demons are nice! Well quite different from what u usually see. They do really look like demons from hell. The soldier demons only have half heads. There are some which can fly. The demon possession is not as disturbing as in the Exorcist series. Those [in exortist] ARE really disturbing. The effects were well done, their portray of hell was not too bad, yes it is almost like what was described in the Bible, everything is burning and there is no end. The wings of Gabriel was nicely done, they look real. But they were toasted by Lucifer in the end which i find it amusing.

The show has a strong sense of anti nazis since the main cause of the demons coming to our plane was caused by a spear called the Spear of Destiny which was discovered accidentally by a worker. The holder of this spear holds the fate of hell and earth.

Cons:

I honesty cannot catch the flow of the story is there's any at all to begin with. It was in bits and pieces. Some parts are amusing. There's a hell bible where in their version of revelation, the end of man kind is not brought upon by Christ Son of God but by Gammon? son of the devil. This son wants to take over the plane of man, which is currently ruled by Lucifer/Devil, his own father. Anyway, it is the father who stops his son from being "delivered" into this world. The worst cock thing is Gabriel The Angel was going to use the spear to deliver this son of devil into this world.

I never follow the comic, so I was like "WTF?"

Lucifer looked more like one oil tycoon than anything else. Yes his entrance was a scene showing his feet in black "oil". Later there was more oil when he dug his hands into Constantine's lungs to remove his cancerous tumours. Constantine was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer after smoking 30 cigs a day since he was 15. After sacrificing himself in exchange for one gal which shld be in heaven, he gained entrance into Heaven but Lucifer prevented him from doing so by curing his cancer - remove his turmours by force, -_-|||

Side track:

Constantine was denial of his gift and he was trying to buy his world into Heaven by elimating demons. Oke, there were some half-demons and half angels which I nv really understood. One touching part was when Garbriel told him the real path to Heaven, on how God wants him to be with Him.

Overall its not too bad. Better than watching Aido Aido which will be released in cheapo vcds for cheapo SGporeans. What an excellent marketing strategy to use ministers to boost the movie's worth, if its so worth watching in a theatre and spending the $8.50 , u wun need any ministers.

[furnance + hell]

Singapore is burning!!! literally yes burning...forest fires break out and cause our sunny island to be hazy, smokey, chokey and...ever so stuffy. A small patch of forested land between Sembwang and Yishun caught fire this evening. The smoke was rather obvious from the mrt tracks. There's a gray cloud like column rising from the clump of trees. Scent of charred wood leaked into the cooling air-conditioned air in the trains.

While walking home, the air reeked of charred wood and reminded me of a session of praying at the temple. The smell is oke, what's annoying is that the wind is bringing in all the charred leaves, grasses into my home. Shutting the windows seem to be the only feasible way but doing so will make my home into an oven!! Haha.. Anyway, I rather feel the heat than to have charred leaves and grasses to be in my living room and worse into my room into my PowerMac !!!

CNY is over like a loud fart from a over bloated stomach. *ahem* Going back to work on Fri after 2 days absence was nuts. There were endless streams of emails for booking, amendments to be done. But I managed to clear them. Feeling lazy, I took leave on Sat.

Monday was no better. In fact it was worse. There were fucking high mountains of work. Bookings, bookings and more bookings. More than 15 on that fucking day alone. If normal bookings, things weren't that bad. Some of the bookings needed to be amended and those fucking Jpn customers kept changing their hotels! Change hotel, change check-in dates, add special requests, change room type, change this change that. They think they playing game ar?

Just taking over that fucking Chinese Indonesian slut colleague of mine was heavy enough, not to mention i need to help out my manager. Fancy taking holiday at this period of time. Free like fuck! Individual bookings are aplenty! Fucking ccb, knnbccb. Month of Feb is more free for group bookings. Free, like real, free fuck la, knn.

Tues was more moderate, I was not exactly so darn free but work was managable.

Today is fine. Work load is on the lighter side. And I even have the luxury of having the whole office to myself when my manger and boss went to Shangri-La to have some sumptous lunch appt. If that pcb indonesian bitch comes back tml, im going to return her all her work. I am not going to dirty my hands on some jobs which is not within my jobscope.

I hate self-righteous and hypocritical Christians or catholics. I hate some muslims esp those who like to make minced meat out of innocent people, I hate city harve$t, I hate Windoz and things M$. And I cannot stand those ccb christians who use God to judge people often by using this phrase, "Who are u to judge?" Well my answer is "Dun God me, I am the son of God"

Sometimes I do feel so tiring to "hate" somethings. But most of the time, personal preferences / opinions will never change, they will remain,at times buried in some corner only to be resurrected by incidents.

[What is your 1st game console?]

Looking back at the advancement of game consoles over the years, games has evolved from yester years' normal linear games to today's fully textured 3D enviroment with 5.1 surround sound.

My first exposure to computer games was prob my cousin's PC. I was not particular impressed with the XT's mono color games but I did watch how my cousin played Romance of the Three Kingdoms in green color. HAHAHA..The came the 386, games from the monotonous green, orange white were transformed into 16bit color. It was a major transformation for me at least. Games were more interactive and more animated and more real in more colors.

There was this particular game called Wing Commander which really got me hooked even by watching my cousin playing it. The graphics was not AWESOME, nowhere near what is offered on PC games or console gaming. But it was really fun, chasing those enemies in ur not-so-powerful space fighter was something i looked forward to when I go visit my grandma. Back then, I was always envious of my cousins who seemed to be able to have many things that I cld only wish for.

A few years later, 386 and 486 was obselete. The 1st Pentium came into the market. Games took a different form. My cousin bought an Aries Pentium 90 MHz in 1995. It was blazingly fast at its time. Multimedia was in its full glory. CD-Roms were getting more n more common. Games were looking better. I rem during the Chinese New Year in 1995, my cousins and I were enjoying ourselves with the racing games and Wing Commander "X" version. I was so excited abt showing my mum abt the new graphics and how fast the Pentium was.

Anyway my 1st game console is not the PC but was the Sega Mega Drive. It is the world 1st 16bit gaming console system. But soon after it was over taken by Super NES which has better sound and games. Graphics wise I still insist my Sega was better. The games were in catridge form which costed $40-60+++? if i rem correctly. Back then the top system was the Neo Geo. It has the best graphics and I rem I always go to a game shop in Thomson Plaza to look at the games. Neo Geo was beyond my reach and so was Super NES. I was capitivated by people playing Neo Geo games and Street Fighter.

Then when I was awaiting my poly entrance, I got Sega Saturn. There were 2 systems then, one was the Sony Playstation and the other was Sega Saturn. My reason for choosing the Saturn was it has a built in memory and "ahem" a controller with a longer wire. Later there Sega released Sega Dreamcast one of the pioneering real 3D consoles. But it did not last. In 1999, Sony realeased its Playstation 2. The gaming prowness and computing power of its 128 bit Emotion Engine created alot of hype world wide. It was banned from China and some other countries fearing they might use the 128 bit CPU for missile controls. -_-

Games never look so good. Final Fantasy 10 has one of the best graphics in its time. Not to mention Grand Turismo 3. Also the innovative industrial designed look of the PS2 was also something different from the common cd-rom type of consoles common back then. The 1st PS2 was expensive as there was never a Asian release. The 1st generation of PS2 was selling like $1k+. I got mine for $800 with one game and a step down adaptor. Mine was a limited edition PS 2 which was packaged with the GT3, red box instead of the common blue one. Anyway it broke down like 3 yrs later. haha. The replacement set was a normal Asian release at $288.

Xbox later came into the picture. It has better graphics n sound compared to the PS2 but it did not have the major support of game titles like the PS2.

Now the hype is PSP, Sony's answer to Nintendo's GBA, DS. The new Gameboy I think is piece of crap anyway. Sony PSP is solid!!! U will nv expect such graphics on a portable system.

Next in the line will be PS3 featuring a much hyped CPU called Cell. Its basically a multiple cored CPU many many times more powerful than today's PS2. The PS2 CPU power was nv fully ultilised anway. If fully ultilised it can be many times better than what u r seeing now.

So what was ur 1st game console?

[SHENG SHENG SHENG,Shuo Dao Gou Wu, Mother zui BANG]

Most ppe wld have watched this tv ad from a local supermart. It features Xiang Yun and her mum. I watched this ad several times and it's so seriously rehearsed and artificial. Every speech, every movement is so rehearsed and unnatural. It is overly EMPHASISED. "Sheng sheng sheng, mother zui BANG, ...Dui ah" etc etc.

-Good gracious, someone spare me the plastic-ness

M1's chicken wireless virus causing infected pple to go to Boat Quay to lay eggs seem so..."cock" and I dun quite get it. Citigems's ad showing boobylicious Fiona Xie with her bending over to show her cleavage and over-hyped Bai Wei Xu is quite good. Nicely done.

Lee Hwa's "there she goes, there she goes again" is very irritating. There is scratchy-ness in the music which is scratching my ear drums and the gal is not that pretty.

This yr's new yr is not much of a mood, everything seems so sedated, so bland, so washed out, so water-coloured and yes ever so blardy HOT. Sharon Au's disgusting piece of drapes/lingerie on the CNY's show was F-UGLY, she might as well wear a bra n g-string on stage not as if she got anything much to reveal. HAHA.

Last but not least, wish everyone a PROSPEROUS,HAPPY & WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!!!!!

[Abnormalities in a fcuker]

There have been a few occassions while on the way home. i will see or rather hear this young Malay teenager at the Doby Ghaut MRT station. He looked normal in his sch uniform but he is not. He will keep making irritating "gaseous" noise, "vrooming" noise and other mechanical noise when he is out of the train. Worse still I met him IN the train and he is making noises in such a manner that it almost felt creepy.

There u have this normal looking kid, with his uniform tucked out making funny noises every now and then. Once the door opened at Marina, he was "vooming" up and down the station, making believe he was some F1 racer. So what is he? Is he from some special school? I have meet some teenagers from such schools and they really behave like him. They will incontrollably make sudden loud noises and startle everyone ard them.

The thing is THEY look normal, wear almost NORMAL sch uniform. Then out of the blue, they will shriek, yell and make such a din it really makes anyone's day to be bad. It's oke if one's on the way home but anyone who is on the way home will wish to have a relaxed and smooth ride, not some abnormal kids from somewhere startling everyone near them.

Why do these pple exist in the midst of a "normal" society? They dun fit into our society at all. Our society only wishes for anyone who is of use, preferably the young, energetic and most importantly EFFICIENT. Look at those children with Down Syndrome, aunties and ah sou"s" will stare at them as if they are some alien, some wil even make comments on what bad deeds their parents might have done to have children like them. Well this is another story.

Back to the irritating bozo I have been meeting ever since I work in Chinatown. Fuck man, he is really creepy. He is the type which you will nv take notice, then out of a sudden, u hear this fucker making a vrrrrommmmiing puiishhhh puiiishhh vrrrom noise frome behind and races in front of u and disappear. Is he a ghost? Children with Down Syndrome to me are more acceptable than to have a kid like the fucker i met. I did have the urge to offer him a few slaps to his face and a few kicks in his stomach and have him to shutup for once! We are all tired in the train and may even wish to sneak a little nap. Then this moron will make everyone on adrenaline shots.

Back to work, for the past week or so, I have no idea on why my colleague decided not to have lunch with me. Normally we will go together with her friend in a nearby company and also her husband. She gaveme the excuses that she has some appointment somewhere. Well, this Monday, I met her and her hubby at Chinatown Pt which is near the Hong Lim food center where we have lunch often. Her "appointment" with her hubby? Or do they want to have time to themselves?

Today, she said she going first, then I met them in a coffee shop at the 3rd floor outskirts, where there is a row of stalls. there they were, the 3 of them. I pretended I nv see them and have my lunch at the Malay stall. What's this? Depising me because I am a poor or not as well off as they? This colleague of mine is one rich Indonesian lady whose lao peh owns one aluminium factory in Jakarta. How abt her friend who happens to resemble a bulldog/bitch? She has "aurora" of stupidity and moronity and with that fucked up face of hers, I dun think any man can stand her shit face. The only comfort she probably has is that she is not fat. And she has this moronic high pitch voice which is a turn off.

I certainly dun mind having lunch alone but being alone during lunch hours can be a hard thing as u need to try ur luck to find a seat.

Chinatown area is quite a boring place for me. At least when I was in TMC and during lunch alone I have Funan, Aldephi, Raffles City to roam ard. hhaha. Well, one suprise during lunch today was I met one ex-classmate. She really lost ALOT of weight while im e complete opposite.
