[now and then]

3 more days to being 26. how time flies. 10 yrs ago, when i imagined that by the time i was 26, i might be probably married, drives a car. Looking at myself now, it seems all pretty far away. I have been thinking these days, the perks and downs of being in a r/s. Honestly i am pretty satisfied with myself right now. Everything now is me myself and myself. I do not really have the intention of settling down.

Tho i do feel that tinge of lonliness at times, esp when i see couples being 'oh-im-so-in-love'. But when i think of the problems that come with a r/s, i prefer not to get involved in it. The thought of the effort needed to woo a gal, that 'arrgh' feeling of guessing her feelings for u during that initial stage is enough to put me off. For now I am enjoying my freedom so much, i can go where i wanna go after work, i dun need to account for anyone. I dun need to put up with mood-swings, tempers and whatever. The feeling of so much space ard me is simply which words cannot describe.

Maybe there is one last thing too. I am no good guy, I have a short fuse and all kinds of shortcomings. So I guess its better that i stay alone, lest be trouble for people, esp for the people I love.

[Jpn client visit]

This is my 1st entry using my dell laptop and it is running late haha. Anyway,the jpn agent came to SG on Sunday(shld be Monday since he touched down at 1.20am) I was supposed to meet him at the airport with my boss. At ard 10+, I got a call from my boss telling me to go to the airport alone to fetch him to the hotel.

Anyway, I did. From home>airport>hotel>home, next morning >mrt>taxi>hotel>airport>home. the taxi fares costed me $80++! But I got the money claimed this evening. Things did not go too tell as apparently, my boss held rather different views from one of our buyers. Anyway, I had quite a good lunch at the Swimmer's Club dunno what, a $7.00 chicken rice with a slice of tiramisu cake. whahhahahaha, compliments of my boss.

Dinner was seafood at East Coast's No Sign Board. We had dua tou which i did not dare to touch cos it is shellfish, squid or stuff inside you tiao. There's fried kangkong with chilli and balachan which proved to be rather spicy for me..and chokingly spicy for my Jpn client haha. there's also white pepper crab, chilli crab, fried fish,fried noodles. Bill was $300++

I was asked by my lady boss to get 2 cans of buscuits frm Bangawan Solo at the airport too. Anyway, there's a possibility i might need to go Shanghai for some meeting with the Jpn and the China people...travel again agghaha.

[BD present for myself by myself / 自分で買ったBirthday present]

The big day draws near. 30th April. It will be a sunday and the next day is a public holiday. I am not expecting any presents, tho i do like to annoy my close friends for presents. I dun expect presents cos normally I dun get any. I dun not have many friends and am I that popular. Anyway, some of my close friends dun celebrate BDs.

For I got some BD presents for myself by myself.

[wee hours]

The time now is 12.35am. Weekends has ended. I guess my Sat passed pretty fast and excited cos I was quite occupied with getting the higher end 904T with T9 functions and many more. I nv went for my Jpn lessons. Somehow im beginning to find it very dull and dry. The lessons are so dead. Classmates are fun tho'. Anyway I managed to sell my set off

the new phone is amazing. It has some of the features nv found in local phones such as GPS which is not available in SG I think. Felica which is using ur mobile to pay for stuff, register etc etc which is also not available in SG. haha. One fun thing abt this phone is that it has 3D text for sms. This means when a new sms comes in, instead of showing all the text in one whole chunk, the text will actually appear one by one with color background! haha. A podder friend got herself a white Toshiba 803T (after my introduction hehe) and she was all excited. Anyway it is fun sms-sing in Jpn cos u get to see all those very cute emoticons which is clearly lacking in local phones, except for SE ones. Not too sure abt others.

I manage to get the video calls, internet, mms all working. The phonebook is a mess until abt a few hrs ago when i manually key in the contacts into the phone main memory. Only I realise i have alot of redundant contacts inside my sim card. Still there r some minor issues to it. To me is oke, since I am such a normal user, mainly for calls and using it as a alarm clock. hahaha. I have yet to try out all the games.

There are simply too many features in it that i have yet to explore. Oh eyeah, Jpn phones come with barcode readers. In Jpn mags, sometimes u will see a small dark square. That is the barcode and if u use jpn phone to scan it it will reveal a website. Oh yeah Jpn mobile websites are really good. hehe.

Time pass by so quickly and tml is monday. Can't wait for Good Fri to come.

[crazy]

It has been a crazy 4 months. These 4 months alone I changed phones like no biz. From K700i to D600C to W900i to Motorola V3X to Toshiba 803T and haizz now finally Toshiba 904T. 6 phones!!!! My mum was making noise and friends commented I am mad.

I think so too :X

[Motorola V3X + mobilephone history]

Ok ok I changed phone again...Motorola V3X user now. :P

After I dumped my very first mobilephone which was a Motorola, I almost swore I will never touch a Motorola mobilephone again. Motorola USED to be dominant during Star tec days. The Nokia took over...Personally I find Nokia phones used to be good as well, for those recent models I find them so-so. Some are over-priced like that N90. It is a farking fat phone and the built quality really dun justify its 1k price. U are just paying for the lens n the Symbian OS as well as the high res lcd.

My 2nd phone was a Samsung, I was pretty impressed by it. Nice bright blue light display, crisp clear ring tones, nice colorful lights. The drawback is probably the battery life. I rem making shadows on the ceiling frm the brightness of the blue light. Yes it is THAT bright! The blinking indicator can change color too and they are VERY bright too. That was 2001. With this Samsung, I learnt how to use T9 for SMS cos my 1st Moto din have T9. ahahaa..I rem I kinda figured it out when I was on the bus back from camp, I rem i was taking half day leave or off then. Those were the days..I so like the feeling of going back home by bus. Oh yeah I was wooing my ex with this phone..I rem my mobile bills sky rocketed cos I was constantly sms-sing..I also rem once I smsed until my phone was totally flat and it was during a camp exercise and I was on my way down from my camp at night.

3rd phone was a Nokia. Nokia 6510 with radio! What attracted me was the small size, good (monochrome) screen, FM radio. I think it is the phone I used the longest. It also have this classy executive look. I rem I bought the phone when i was going back from camp..I took 167/980 and alighted at Chong Pang and went to buy the phone. hahahaha. That was 2002.

In 2003 or late 2002 was the era of color screen mobiles. Back then Nokia dominated the market again with 4096 color screens phones. Then Sony Ericsson came with its T610. I rem reading abt slow speed with the T68i but T610 is vastly improved, it comes with a camera and 65k color screen with 40 or is it 32 polyphonic ring tones. I got my T610 after much research for a very low price at less than $200. ahhahaha. That was in Aug or Sept 2003. I was working in Singtel then, I rem so clearly.

With the T610, it companied me in Singtel, to British Council to TMC Academy. Late 2003 til mid 2004. That was when I had problems with the charger connections to the phone. And I was beginning to think it was getting slow. Back then I wanted a simpler phone...and got myself a Samsung X40(?) which was a simple phone with rotatable lens. I think it was ard April 2004 when I got it. 1 thing which irritated me was that acknowledgement tone everytime an action is executed.

This phone accompanied me frm mid 2004 to late 2004 where I switched job after TMC to DV9 International. When i was at DV9 International I bought SEK700i. This phone was with me in Oct or Sept 2004 til Dec 2005. It was with me when I was retrenched and also when i started (and ended) work at AsiaLand Travel Serv and into European Broadcasting Union and then into my current company. It was also with me during my breakup.

As a X'Mas present for myself, I got myself the Samsung D600c. It is a phone which I really really liked ALOT. It has excellent screen and the sliding mechanism is excellent tho functionality wise it loses out to SE phones. If not for that stupid dust problem, I will not have sold it for SE W900i. The most expensive phone I paid to-date. $490 after trade in of my D600C. It is also my 1st 3G phone. W900i is nice (made in Jpn), functions wise excellent as usual. But it is tad too fat and heavy, I am fine with it generally but when I wear tight jeans, it is quite uncomfortable.

So.....................on Sat my hands itched...after making some enquriries on the Motorola V3x. I decided to trade in my W900i. The trade in price is higher than the price of V3x! Anyway i earned $20 for it. V3X is oke not too bad, tho it is the biggest and thickest of the Razr series, it is still very sleek for a 3G phone. The screen is excellent, sharp and crisp..yeah it is made by Sharp anyway. It comes with a 128MB T-Flash card (micro SD) 1X travel charger, 1X desktop charger (which was missing when i bought it, just got it this morning frm the shop) 2X batteries, 1X CD-ROM, 1X data cable. Overall not too bad. But the sms-ing im still not too used to it..haha
