was surprised to see a 'fan' and a friend requesting for updates for my blog =o. ?? ?????? Kumsumhamida~Anyway for the past 2 weeks, there have not been any much happening except I was hit by the Korean fever without me noticing it hahaha..
Thanks to the relentless erm...promotion from Channel U. I was kinda hooked on to the now showing Korean drama Princess Hours. And THANKS to my work I cannot catch it cos by the time I reach home I can at most catch 15 min of it...I wanted to borrow the vcds from friends and my cousin but apparently they have a long waiting list..so in the end I bought the DVDs! WHAHAHAHAHA @ the new Poh Kim store opened near my workplace. (sadly now that's the only santuary in the midst of a ulu industrial park) The DVDs costed me $39. I also bought a poster (ORIGINAL from Korea) for $30 @ yahoo auctions and stupidly I imported a Jpn version of their soundtrack from HMV Japan which is abt $56+ when there is a cheaper ORIGINAL Korean version and a Lee Yool's necklace for $31.40 which I hope will reach soon. And my collection is tada~
The poster is much bigger than I though. Met a very honest dealer cos I bidded for $35 (bid price is $30) cos I wanted to close the deal fast.I paid her $35 then I left. Then she called me telling me that bid was closed at $30..so in e end I got back $5 haha. As for the OST, ok I was too impulsive. I saw the Malaysian version of the OST @ Poh Kim, so I bought it..then it hit me somehow that I cannot really stand non original stuff. I dun mean the Malaysian version is not 'original' but I mean I prefer something authentic. If it is Korean, it has to be imported from Korea, same thing for Japanese stuff cos ORIGNAL is always the best and have all the essence. (That's why I DUN buy translated Jpn comics) Ah anyway, I did not regret getting the Jpn import cos it has one very nice track (READ: For Japan market only) and a DVD and a Jpn translated booklet. I dunno why I just fcuking dislike cheena translated shit. The Malaysian version has a fucking VCD..which is gg to show shit on my HDTV (ahem).
The songs are VERRRRRYYYYY NICEEEEEE. The drama is so VERRRRYYYYY NICE.. It was 10 yrs ago when I was so nuts over a drama, feverishly promoting it to my friends who dun 'Korea' like me in the past hahaa..yes yes I know im slow cos I dun go for soapy dramas like Winter Sonata and all. It was Jewel in the Palace which got my eyes on Korea..and now Princess Hours got my heart into it. I hope this will fuel me into learning Korean which I want to do so hopefully next yr @ Singapore Korean School which is located near Paya Lebar.
I like all the clothes Chae Gyung wore in the show as well as her earrings,shoes..the Alfred bears are pretty cute too. It is very much like a real 'life' fairy tale. At one point I even wanted to get all the accessories in the show from the clothes, earrings and the toufu cushion.....but I did not anyway. Cannot imagine what wld my mum think if she sees me buying woman's clothes n earrings hahahahaha..But honestly this show did strung some cords in my heart..seeing Chae Gyung cry in the show reminded me of someone who used to be part of my life. Seeing her whack the toufu cushion also reminded me subtlety. I wonder is it her eyes? Shin, like me is very much isolated and lonely person who dun usually open his heart to anyone tho I think I am much more verbal than him hahahaha. So this show is something I cld relate too..no wonder I find it heart warming.
The ending is good, and I see so much potential for Part II but apparently there is none except for Gong 2 (Prince Hours) wtf? The producer shld ride on this Princess Hours wave and create the sequel cos Chae Gyung was pregnant in the end (she was having some sorta morning sickness and in the end, the Alfred bears (they depic the future) show a baby bear carried by the bear which represents CG) The sequel cld show the royal couple rearing their child and so much more!
And yes it is a very nice show and I will rewatch it hahahaha
