[oh life II]

Once again I cannot come up with a appropriate title..anyway I guess hardly anyone reads, so dun matter.

Internet has brought many people from thousands of miles together, yet it seems to be it has moved people further away. How has it brought people closer? Well it connects people from one side of the world to the other, be it emails, IMs, forums. If u have someone who is residing or working or studying overseas and both of u have a broadband connection and a PC. A webcam and Skype, MSN, Yahoo is all u need to 'see' each other. U can even save loads on IDD calls.

How has it moved people further from each other? To me it is even though u can 'see' one another online but yet, there is hardly any conversation going on. Dun u feel u are so 'closed' so 'connected' but yet feel so remote? For those on MSN, do u have anyone whom u added eons ago and eventually u forget who they are? Or have u added someone for the sake of adding and over sometime u actually forget who they were? or even how u get to add them in the 1st place? I feel it is more distanced because the primary means of human interaction has been replaced by digits and binary codes.

Sometimes things u wanna say or convey cannot be replaced by text. Thus misunderstandings happened frequently among people who communicate with IMs and emails. What a morbid entry. This sux.

Workwise, the week has been quiet cos my boss was away (he was back on Fri tho). Oh yeah more colleagues are leaving, soon the office will be empty. Anyway I know there will be new colleagues joining in. I told my mum abt this while we were walking to Yishun Seafood to have our dinner. I said there shld be 2 more gals joining in to help out in the admin side and guess what she said 'mayb u can find one among ur colleagues...' anyway I brushed it off lightly by saying most gals ard my age or near my age are attached.

Dinner was good, we had claypot sea cucumbers and one plate of veg (name unknown) fried with preserved beancurd (foo yuu in Cantonese). the veg was EXCELLENT!!!!! My mum and I were relishing on that dish. I cld have licked that plate clean hahahahaha...The claypot consisted of sea cucumbers, mushrooms,sweetcorn sweet peas,roasted pork. Total cost: $19! Then we went Sembawang SC's Giant to walk ard, bought 1 bottle of shan zha green tea, sara lee's cake and bleach.

Tml I will have a 'date' with my boss and colleague, cos we be going to Funan to purchase Adobe CS II. yawn.
