1) a feeling that may not last ?

2) a euphemism for a sexual relationship ?

3) self-sacrificing action on behalf of others ?

4) acceptance without criticism ?

5) being more honest than nice ?

I did ponder abt love when I came to age. Honesly, who can really understand it? What came close to me then were mere crushes which did not really last long. It is until the day, when I went to church one day. I was shown this .

Love suffers long and is kind;

love does not envy;

love does not parade itself,

is not puffed up;

does not behave rudely,

does not seek its own,

is not provoked,

thinks no evil;

does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things (1 Cor. 13:4-7).

My God! What a perfect explanation! If anyone says they love u, tell them the above. That is real love, the perfect love. And honestly enough, it keeps me looking up and going. For me at least, love is like the above and I am trying to do the same despite my own flaws n limitations. I did try, not sure if it was enough, in my ex r/s. The above to many will seem to be utterly stupid, lame and ridiculous. Such pple see love as an emotional investment, 'I dumped in xxx amt of time,effort and money unto someone, I expect to have returns of yyyy amt'

As feelings got me down on Tuesday and even Wednesday, someone told me, "No one is perfect, so stop complaining" What strong words which smack me right up and eventually lead me to think of the REAL meaning of love. Inhumanly possible..but at least I try.
